This book had a very teen drama feel to it, similar to what you might find Ender's Game or in Twilight (but not, ya know, without fairy-vampires).

That aside, I really enjoyed the world that the author painted. There is a well designed world with a great insight into how people and society acts now.

The sci-fi aspects of it were a little bit out there and left something to be desired, but I was able to just accept the idea and move on. I really enjoyed the book, and I am looking forward to reading the sequels.
